What actually separates them

The honest downside of each

Cornish Rex

The Cornish Rex's signature ultra-thin, guard-hair-free coat isn't just low-maintenance styling — it leaves the cat with little real insulation or sun protection, so these cats chill and sunburn far more easily than a normal-coated cat and often need sweaters or strictly indoor, temperature-controlled living.

Devon Rex

Devon Rex are talkative and constantly want to be involved in whatever you're doing, including waking you up, and despite low shedding they are not actually hypoallergenic — the allergen (Fel d 1) is in their skin and saliva, not their sparse hair, so people with real cat allergies still react to them.
